Paul Rinaldi is passionate about coding and social justice. He is a software engineering student at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and has been one of five honors students working with the Wisconsin Decarceration Project, an effort by the Milwaukee Turners’ Confronting Mass Incarceration coalition. The students developed a website that pulls together in one place information for people coming home, including a calendar of events, resources and updates on legislation. The students met with a variety of CEOs, directors of nonprofits and people who have gotten out of prison. Paul wants to see more cross-collaboration among disciplines and universities, so he worked with a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on a website for a mental health startup. He was valedictorian in 2018 at Mukwonago High School, where he was involved in FIRST Robotics, Students Against Violence Everywhere, History and International Club, and Ecology Club.
